Art of Elysium

Allison McAtee has been a proud supporter of the Art of Elysium, which enriches the lives of critically ill children through programs for hospitalized youth.  She regularly visits Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and participates in the Art of Elysium’s Fine Arts, Fashion Design, Media/Theater and Arts-Based Self-Esteem Programs.  Allison is also a part of Elysium Esteem (Girl Talk) which empowers pre-teen and teen girls teaching  them positive psychosocial skills to cope with chronic illness or physical disfigurements that set them apart from their peers.

The Art of Elysium is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 that works to make art a catalyst for social change.  This full circle model promotes creative services between the arts community and communities in need throughout Los Angeles and New York City.  For volunteer artists, providing opportunities to utilize their talents in service reinvigorates their unique creative footprint while providing a deep sense of fulfillment.  For those in need, participation in the arts promotes empowerment, learning and emotional relief.
